The Care and Feeding of a Basil Plant
In spite of myself, I am able to keep many plants alive. Basil, however, has been my nemesis. After killing another set of basil plants, I turned to the experts at Ace Hardware in Highlands Ranch, CO. I found out I was doing EVERYTHING wrong! If you are basil-challenged like I am, please take note: do not soak daily but let dry out between waterings, do not leave out in 90+ degree weather in direct sunlight, do not let leaves flower as basil will have a bitter taste. Wow, I was doing all of those things. Thank you, Ace basil expert! I hope this next plant lasts longer than the last.
