Are You Ready for Pi Day?
Pi Day is 3/14, which is this Saturday. Why not have fun with this and prepare the most awesome pie out there? Here is a new recipe I am hooked on. It is tart, a little sweet and light as pies go. What is this amazing recipe you ask? Key Lime Pie! Have you ever wondered what a “Key Lime” is and if it really matters whether or not you substitute regular ol’ limes? Join the club if so! I recently embarked on a mission to find a recipe for Key Lime Pie for a friend’s birthday instead of ordering from a local bakery, still an acceptable solution for busy people. Since it is Leap Year, I suggest you take a leap into something out-of-the box and prepare this delicacy. You will thoroughly enjoy this State Pie of Florida since 2006. Key Limes are smaller and more tart and slightly floral in taste than limes as we know them. Where do you find these treasures? Safeway and Sprouts are two sources in the Denver area so I am confident you will also locate them, wherever you are.
