Are You Ready for some Football?

Next Sunday is “The Big Game” and food will be a big part of this. If you are like me, the “closet planner” per a wise 98-year-old family member, you are thinking about food NOW! Plan your menu early and put it into action for Sunday. Whether your team is in or not, this is an American tradition that brings friends and families together. Food does that! Here are some of my foolproof football

favorites!

The Big Game!

Baked Super Sandwich Satisfying sandwich that can be made your own….add chicken, pesto, be creative!

Gluten Free Puppy Chow Slightly sweet and oh so nice!

Cauliflower Wings A healthy version of Buffalo Wings for an appetizer, OOOOH YEAH!

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili Ok Big Ten but hey, they are just a step away from the NFL so enjoy this chili! It is the best I’ve ever had, seriously, and lots of it. Segue…when I lived in Wisconsin for 28 years, one rural cafe had “chili in season.” WHAT does that mean? There was nothing fresh in chili. I still do not understand this but other Packer fans might. Nevertheless this is a really good recipe for any season!

Shape my Cookies and Cream Truffle recipe into a giant football and it WILL be a hit! You are welcome!

Last but not least, my favorite cookie of ALL times is Monster Cookies! Use your team colors for the m&m’s and enjoy! Gluten free, high fiber, peanut butter…healthy enough for me! My latest variation is to use peanut butter m&m’s and peanut butter chips in addition to the chocolate ones. Ohhh yeah, you are welcome!!! This isn’t chemistry so change it up as your taste buds dictate and enjoyl

And last but not least, enjoy your friends, family and hopefully the game! I hope I have given you a few ideas to add to your own for the game. Enjoy!

As always, keep it eclectic,

Barbara
