Ingredients

  • 12 figs, cut into half
  • 8 ounces mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 package phyllo dough, thawed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted

Method

Step 1

Spread one layer of phyllo dough onto a cutting board. With pastry brush, lightly dab sheet with butter. Place second sheet over first and repeat until four sheets have been layered, but do not butter the fourth sheet.

Step 2

With a pizza cutter, cut 6 squares out of the rectangle. Pull apart from each other.

Step 3

In the center of each square, place ~ 1 T. cheese and 1/2 fig. Repeat with all squares.

Step 4

Fold corner to corner, pinching corners together, creating a little bundle. Gentle place it into a mini muffin tin that has NOT been sprayed. Repeat with remaining ingredients.

Step 5

Bake at 400 degrees for ten minutes until dough is cooked and is light brown. Serve warm.
