Ingredients
Cream together: butter, sugar, powdered sugar, salt, eggs, oil, vanilla and almond extracts. Add flour, cream of tartar and baking soda. Mix well and freeze for 30 minutes. Heat oven to 325 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Remove dough from freezer. Take about 2 tsp. of dough and roll into a thin, pencil-sized shape. (Cookies will be fragile but thicker ones will bake up as chubby fingers!) Set on parchment paper. Press an almond on end of "finger" for a "fingernail." Squeeze cookie in center and again near end to resemble knuckles. Using a sharp knife, gently slice creases in the knuckles. See photo. Repeat with all dough, bake 15-18 minutes. Remove the almond from the ends of cookies, drop a few drops of gel onto "nail bed" and then replace almond. Cool. Serve.Method
